Play Series

"Play" is a series of three abstract acrylic paintings. It intends to create abstract and imaginative spaces and play with the visibility and invisibility of objects/figures. Inspired by the drapery of frescoes during the early medieval period in China, ancient Roman/Greek classical sculptures, and my stripe collages using labels, tapes and laces, the works intend to transform my favourite Eastern and Western art styles into my contemporary visual language – refreshing, playful and mysterious.
