01 For Jurying Consideration

"Internal Dialogues and Hypnagogic Hallucinations" is a body of work that challenges the art-historical idea that surrealism is a European "invention". Surreal imagery existed in many cultures before its "development" in Europe. My body of work can be seen as a visual translation of surreal imagery found in Armenian miniatures and oral traditions into contemporary paintings.
