XII

XII explores themes of isolation and guilt informed by the misogynistic, homophobic, homogeneous attitudes of the Greek Orthodox Church by re-appropriating iconographic imagery. Through the process of intricate, time consuming line-work, the pieces ruminate on what marks these dated attitudes leave on a person. The work beckons you to come closer and sit in the isolation for just a moment, keeping our figure company.
