The Artist Collection; Capsule

The Artist Collection explores different creative methods that 2D art can be translated into wearable textiles through a series of four garments, each a contemporary take on artists' traditional protective attire like the smock, lab/studio coat, coveralls and apron. By fusing traditional protective garments worn by artists with their art, the project exists at the intersections of art, craft, and fashion, challenging gendered divisions of labour and promoting sustainability.
