Figures gather in surreal arrangements; they drink, shout, gesture out and are generally preoccupied. I paint with oil on canvas energetic scenes dotted with absurdity and melodrama. I am reflecting on the intimacy and isolation of the crowd and its affiliations to social contract, nostalgia, loss, and uncertainty. Because, you know.
