Beyond The Hospitals

Designed for the people, this thesis proposes a space for outpatients and caregivers before, during, and after appointments. Located on 300 Simcoe Street in Toronto’s Hospital Row, it responds to challenges in navigating nearby institutions, including Toronto General Hospital, Mount Sinai Hospital, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, and the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute. The building acts as a hub for check-in, storage, waiting, transportation, and caregiver support.
