Roots & Renewal

Roots & Renewal is a collection of three jewelry objects created in reflection of traditional Korean art and culture through the lens of contemporary design. Lays motifs of the chrysanthemum knot, rose of Sharon, and dragon, all connected together with the metalwork traditional technique of keumboo. This collection is to display the importance of maintaining cultural roots while practicing modern craft, and how historical methods of art can still be applied to new innovation design.
