01 For Jurying Consideration

Through paintings wrapped in knitted yarn, I address the complexity of grief in relation to my lived experiences and memories. The dichotomy between the stagnation of loss and the malleability of memory is reflected in the covering and revealing of each painted image. The knitted, protective barrier between artwork and viewer brings vulnerability, comfort and mortality into conversation.
