For Jury Consideration

Forest Kinships: In my installation of interwoven mixed media fibre and moss, I look for ways to represent symbiotic relationships seen in mycelium, fungi, and plant life. Through the actions of tying and sewing as well as weaving and growing, I use these fragments and filament-like structures to suggest a universe of connective tissues that multiply and mingle beneath the surface. This work focuses on the intimacy and care that goes into sustaining collaboration and community.
