Pride

Pride is depicted by the story of Icarus. Icarus's father, Daedalus, constructed a pair of wax wings for he and Icarus to escape with. Despite being warned not to fly too close to the sun or sea, Icarus's hubris tells him he knows better and, blinded by his own excitement and ambition, does not take heed of his father's warning.
