Into the Dollhouse

All artworks from "Into the Dollhouse," a series of small-scale mixed media paintings that explore the deviant impulses of the human psyche through child's play and the theatricality of film. Using Barbie as a vessel for my consciousness, I aim to develop a new vision of the female self portrait that challenges misogynistic depictions of women in art and pop culture whilst questioning the classist and patriarchal connotations associated with kitschness.
