PVLPIT

Using the shared idealism, narrative, and compositions of pulp illustration and Neoclassical art, I have taken classical motifs from academic paintings and transformed them into pieces of ephemeral lowbrow illustration. Each work focuses on the conventions that both high and low art exploit. These aspects of similarity can be revealed by combining Neoclassical motifs and pulp demeanour to reveal a greater human appeal and a commonality in art that transcends notions of high or low.
