These works are connected, comprising of 2-dimensional paper and acrylic paint collages accompanying an excerpt of written fiction. The goal was to interrogate my personal emotions of Black femme rage, interest in science fiction and the habitual nature I have of reworking experiences and pain in my imagination for refuge away from reality.
A major question posed is:
What does the amputation of one’s mind from their body mean to the ecology of the planet?
