‘Year’ Beast

The theme is Chinese New Year, based on my own experiences. I created a story where the ‘Year’ beast (a mythical creature that appears only during the New Year) helps my childhood self break free from a dull, formulaic adult celebration of the holiday. By comparing past festivities to the present, I aim to evoke and remind people of the joy and excitement that this traditional festival should bring.
