“Allowing the process to lead the artistic exploration ”
Lewis Garber is an animator & media artist in Toronto, Ontario. Lewis’s work consists of animation, illustration and video/film. He is exploring the idea of automation in creativity, letting the process lead the artistic exploration. Lewis usually works in abstract animated loops, creating stylized movement through the morphing of shapes or characters. His recent work “A cloudy day for a drop in” is a step away from abstraction to explore building a repeating narrative that works together with the endless cycle of a loop. Lewis is often combining analog aesthetics and techniques into the world of digital media.
