Fran Tan is initially forming Jiangsu, China. He currently studies Animation at OCAD U in Toronto, and he is an amateur in photography. He started with a great interest in drawing and painting and recently develops his ideas, which related to psychological problems, with 2D digital animation. He likes exploring the visualizing of people’s inner world in the form of abstract style animation. Also, Fran is interested in creating realistic 3D modelings. In his art practice, he likes developing an idea in different media and tries to make a combination with the analog and digital media in his work. Because of his cultural background, he tries to make a different definition of the traditional Chinese culture in new media time.
