Digital Futures (MDes)
“Combining her professional skills as a multidisciplinary designer and animation specialist with the forward-thinking lens of Digital Futures, Priya works to address the needs of an increasingly complicated digital world. Through her master’s research, Priya envisions and activates a largely unexplored futurism discipline for India: Indofuturism as a means for Indian people and their descendants to respond to postcolonial ramifications. Using a multitude of media, such as virtual reality, 3D art, creative coding, physical computing, volumetric video, dance performance, Priya created five interactive installations of Indofuturist artefacts that actualised this vision of Indofuturism, and disseminated the conceptual analysis of this research as an Indofuturist Manifesto: a call to action for other creators and thinkers of Indian descent to delve into this emerging discipline.”
Priya is a multidisciplinary designer, animation specialist and virtual reality artist from Mumbai, India. She has over ten years’ experience designing visual narratives and innovative media creations for international clientele.
