Ethan Smith is a Halifax born Toronto based artist who is well versed in a range of artistic disciplines. He is a 2021 OCAD grad who majors in Drawing & Painting and has a passion for textile and garments. His drawing & painting work takes a traditional approach to art-making, focusing on themes such as mental health and the human condition, while his textile work attributes inspiration to horror imagery and pays homage to film, materials and fashion. In recent years his focus has been on fusing his two main practices, and he aims to do so not just through technique and materials but also thematically.
