“Within my painting practice, I work in flux with states of intention & intuition. Working with sculptural, shaped plywood panels, I create paintings that exist as ethereal bodies with complex narratives of their own.”

Madelyn Rotella is an emerging artist living and working in Mississauga, Ontario. She holds a BFA in Drawing & Painting from OCAD University. Madelyn is currently an artist in residence at Visual Arts Mississauga, where she is participating in a 6-month residency program. Madelyn will be showcasing a new series of work entitled “Saccharine”, at the Small Arms Inspection Building in February, as part of VAM’s 2020-2021 Creative Residency.
