“By imagining the future, the commodification of human life leads to the erosion of humanity and moral values, and desensitize people’s feeling. “Neo-humanism” examines what it means to be human, through depictions of an imagined dystopian capitalist future, where human individuality is commodified and sold back to us by the system.

Helen He was born and raised in China.She immigrated to Canada at age of 18 and now she is a freelance illustrator based in Toronto. She graduated from OCAD University with a BFA in Illustration. Specializing in complex composition and detailed line works, she mainly uses realistic style and vibrant colour to create her artwork digitally. She also enjoys traditional medium to draw and paint, includes conte & charcoal drawing, watercolour and oil painting.
