“I see my practice as an opportunity to play with atmosphere, mood, and spatial logic. Working in oil, watercolour, charcoal and ink, I use landscape and natural imagery to explore the contrast between emotive, expressive gesture and the rational, deliberate construction of an imagined space. The resulting images can be interpreted on both a concrete and symbolic level.”
