“Flora & Fauna aims to leverage new scientific findings surrounding the social life of trees to create a communication experience focused on providing humans a more holistic view of the natural world. The project pursues to uncover the mysteries of our natural world and our place within it. Allowing people to see themselves as a part of nature, not separate and superior. It looks at webs of communication created in both the natural world and technologically, drawing parallels between the two to allow us to see the commonalities and the ability to link the two to create a more sustainable inclusive future for all.”
My design ethos is rooted in social responsibility, global innovation, and sustainable practices. Globally we are hitting a crucial tipping point, one where we must think critically about our choices as consumers, makers, and global citizens. My aim as a designer is to create compassionate life-centred designs that take advantage of current technological innovations to create meaningful and sustainable change, both locally and worldwide.
