Tristan Velasquez Coloma is a Filipino-born artist based in Toronto who’s work explores the human psyche through his experiences and memories. He is interested in painting portraits, especially self-portraits, that explore the irrationality and vulnerability of the human psyche in hopes to introduce issues and voices to create a conversation about the stigma attached to being a male figure dealing with mental health problems. Coloma graduated in June of 2020 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from OCAD University.
