“The Book of Queens is a contemporary take on the 10th-century Persian epic poem book of Shahnameh (The Book of Kings) that tells the story of 10 influential Iranian women as its protagonists and legendary heroes all sharing a theme of rebellion. ”
Shahrzad Soroosh is an illustrator based in Toronto, Canada. Her editorial illustrations focus mainly on social justice issues. She works using a mix of traditional and digital media.As a kid, she found joy in drawing, music, and nature. Safe to say much hasn't changed since.
