Beatrice Douaihy is a digital creative examining how digital (im)materiality shapes mediated existence in the post-internet era. She works with video, media installation and the written word, often returning to the structuralism of interfaces and retro technology as sources of metaphor. By engaging synchronicities and glitch aesthetics, she seeks to make palpable the subliminal relationships embedded in digital-analogue interactions. She is graduating from OCAD University with a BFA in Integrated Media: Digital Painting and Expanded Animation with a Minor in Digital & Media Studies, and currently serves as Managing Editor for Volvox Vault magazine. Also a musician, she supports fellow artists in the Toronto rock scene through vocal work and visual arts. Her gothic doomgaze musical project Uncaught (in promise) released its debut EP in 2020.
