“My work at OCADU has gone through many phases of styles and qualities. Thankfully, all my professors through all four years encouraged me to experiment and not get stuck or satisfied with one way of creating. As a result, I’m very happy as a multi-media artist. I have no desire to identify myself with one style or media, I just want to make great illustrations and high quality art.My illustration thesis, "I Need You (To Go Away)”, is a series of illustrations focused on the needs of individuals and the essentials of a healthy relationship. The main media I worked in for this series is cut paper, which has since become my go-to media for illustrating! Theres something very rewarding about working with paper, creating something with my hands, and using my skills in photo editing to keep experimenting with what I’ve created. I try to always push my idea of what a “finished” piece looks like.”
