“My OCADu thesis titled “The Language of Flowers” challenges the societal perceptions and the romantic, delicate, feminine impressions associated to flowers. By communicating hidden codes of Floriography, this series will demonstrate how flowers can be used to deliver diverse messages in a modern context.”

Dominique Lin is an illustrator, designer, and painter based in Ottawa, Ontario. She holds a Bachelor of Design with a major in Illustration from OCAD University. Her work features bold and lively colours coupled with a cheerful and lighthearted subject matter to capture the humour in everyday life. Dominique specializes in acrylic painting and graphite pencil drawing. Her recent work reflects her passion for flowers and her fascination with hidden meanings and messages. Dominique assumes the role of a visual storyteller through her mixed media work.
