Drawing and Painting
“I have always been about the pop art cartoonist illusion when painting that was until I started dabbling in abstract. This field widened my range of art and I found it allowed me to explore my emotions and feelings. More so, I continue to experiment with colour to achieve the definition of an experimental science term called Neuroaesthetics.”
Ally Adkins is an emerging sketch artist and abstract painter with a BFA in Drawing and Painting from OCAD University currently residing in the GTA. As a sketch artist she works mostly with charcoal and graphite and as a painter she works with mostly acrylic, sometimes watercolour. Her painting style when not abstract is a cross between pop art and comic style with slight realism. When creating its never just one and done, Ally works in multiples to get different angles of the story
