The work explores feelings present when undergoing major stress and anxiety. The theme of this production is the experience and confrontation of feelings during the process of stress, leading up to a breaking point. The goal is to explore my own experience of feelings and stress in a non-traditional way that must contain striking visual’s and dynamic sounds!
““Feelings” is a personal narrative, multimedia production about the confrontation of feelings when under major stress and anxiety. The theme explored is the experience of feelings present, when undergoing this ordeal, leading to a breaking point. The title “Feelings” refers to the conflict the main character struggles with, along with the weird objects and sounds that overwhelm all the spaces around her. The animation is inspired by the work of Rebecca Sugar, with her exploration of emotion in Steven Universe, along with Chris Plante’s “This is Fine” dog who is ironically not fine. “Feelings” combines non-traditional mediums with beautiful visuals and intense sounds in order to piece together a personal narrative that explores and channels my very own “feelings”.”
