Diverting from my own traditional use of oils and acrylics, I ventured into works with mediums like henna and fabrics and aimed to create a second self-portrait of myself and of other Indian women (in Sari) who were prominent in my life. Centring specifically around my Pati (grandma), I aimed to build my identity around the stories and legacy of my Pati.
