Layers upon layers of latex are applied to a mesh grid. While the latex sets it finds its way to adhere itself to the debris of its surrounding, traces of its environment. Asphalt, pebbles, spilt coffee, seeds and flowers, and scarps from the drop sheet that covered the flow cling to the latex. 3D collages made up of found images, images of found moments, image junk, are applied as temporary tattoos. These materials become inseparable, enmeshed in this artificial web.
“What are the parameters of a body? Does it end at the skin - one flexible organ wrapped around many - or does it stretch across that which entangles it? This works is a study on the body's propensity to be entangled, to gather and fold that which it encounters. ”
