Eklera, India
Photography
2019
With this series 'Eklera, India', I embark on a journey to preserve the essence of my father's small agricultural village in India. As Eklera undergoes the inevitable changes brought about by modernization and migration, I endeavor to capture its authentic charm and intimate community spirit. Employing the timeless medium of 35mm film photography, each frame becomes a precious snapshot of a fleeting moment, mirroring the transient nature of both film and my visit. Through candid portraits and poignant glimpses of village architecture, I aim to evoke a sense of nostalgia and connection to a place that holds profound personal significance. 'Eklera' is not merely a documentation of a geographic location; it is a heartfelt homage to the enduring spirit of community and the beauty found in simplicity.
