“A sewn set of beaded ink drawings featuring a still silhouette of lepidopteran wings, speaks of the instant when upon seeing a black dust that coated the confined space, occurred the realization that the butterfly that we were chasing was actually a moth. A visual depiction of the dusty wings of the moth that laid lifeless against one side of the tent; a moment of silence that juxtaposes the chaotic cluster of fluttering wings that precede it.”

“A fragmented memory of a childhood ritual; one only as ephemeral as the lepidopteran forms it is depicted as, and only as tangible as patches, ink, wire, beads, and chains.”
