“La Bete Noir” explores a world where the inventiveness and advancements of VR could be use as the key to understand lucid dreams. Through understanding lucid dreaming, it allows individuals to control their dreams and thus control their fears and ultimately overcome it. This method of lucid dreaming in conjunction to VR can be utilized as exposure therapy to treat various phobias without placing the individual in any danger. “La Bete Noir” creates a world where one’s irrational fears mirrors the environment. By placing individuals in a contained environment with their fears, it allows individuals to better face their fears in the real world
