“A cast of the Christmas ornament my father got me on my first Christmas. The innocence of a baby’s first Christmas ornament is stripped away with its industrial recreations as is my own perception of the holidays. What is supposed to be a time shared with family, wound up being the most painful and isolating and following those events, and their effects are now permanent. ”
