Abolish the Police

Stopping police brutality towards marginalized communities by listening, researching, and actively moving alongside leaders of said marginalized communities in order to obtain justice for all those who have fallen and will fall due to police brutality. This involves; reading up on articles and books by said people in such communities, such as black and indigenous communities; going to protests; continuing to create conversation; checking up on the mental and physical wellbeing of those within such marginalized groups; helping fund the social movements to continue in whatever way one can; and standing up upon seeing injustice unfold. As the movements progress and get larger it will be harder for the government to ignore. End result: abolishing the police and returning the jobs of the police to community members that are trained to handle specific situations that happen. Instead of letting the police handle multiple different jobs, let the multiple different industries handle the situations without the need for violence, nor guns, nor the physical build needed to attack, and rather, have such industries use their industry specific knowledge and knowledge of de-escalation to aid those in need.
