This is an exploration of connection of the body and land. It is a depiction of the life cycle; how we come from the Earth and ultimately return to it. It is unclear whether or not the figure is emerging from or being drawn into it, which is intentional; this exchange happens mutually throughout our lives in various cycles of birth, life, and death. It reflects the intricacies of the relationship between the planet and us as the people that inhabit it, through the simple fact of death and decomposition.The variety of plant life used reflects the diversity of our Earth, as it is just as diverse, if not more, than humans.
