Sheepfold

Sheepfold was inspired by reverse contrast typefaces such as Gopher and Antipol, with an interesting aspect of merging with slab-serif typeface and ink traps.The style has high contrast in weight, the horizontal strokes are often heavier than the vertical ones. The crossbar of letters is thinner compared to other strokes; The vertical strokes have purposely added some weights to create a better visual balance, which improves the readability of small text. The serifs are thicker than the stems, resonating with the main idea of implementing reverse contrast. The ink traps are added to 90° and some other steep angles, which has made this font playful and unique. Sheepfold is designed for my personal scarf business, which is meant to be all-purpose. It can be used on the packaging, labels, wordmark, business card, etc.
