Our (well-placed) zeal to protect ourselves from COVID has distracted many of us from the internal battle that has been raging. "All of humanity's problems stem from man's inability to sit quietly in a room alone" as Pascal once wrote. I have experienced this first hand. Truly, the battle begins once the door is locked and the more obvious dangers are left outside.
