The Things You Say is an installation art piece featuring knitted and ceramic bodies. The knitted body is life size with stylized ceramic eyes. This figure is hollow, with clay eggs and hatchlings tumbling from their severed torso. This piece is created through the processing and analysis of traumatic childhood memories. The bodies I have created are meant to house my memories as a way to let them go, as well as a way to communicate materially and physically, what I cannot verbally express. The Things You Say will not be fully described, leaving the meaning derived from the work up to the viewer and their own lived experiences.

“I am a maker, and I am constantly coming up with new ideas and things to work on. I am particular interested in the body and how it is our biggest communicator.
