"Immersion" addresses early religious formation in which belief is received rather than chosen. Figures, symbols, or spatial structures evoke instruction, discipline, and ritual repetition. The image reflects a condition of passive absorption, where identity begins to take shape through external authority. This print is part of "Acedia", a series that explores the experience of losing faith and how it continues to shape memory and identity. Across six large-scale linocuts, the work takes shape as a fragmented self-portrait.

“The true corruption of the youth. The lamb. The lily.White forms of obedience.A child before the eternal flame, learning that her innocence is her offering. To remain pure is to remain close to God.Holiness.It is trained. It is watched. It is rewarded. The fox and the cat softly arrive, figures of deception dressed as guidance.Pulling the strings of a dirty institutionSuffering appears early, It’s ok it’s not violence, just a painful instruction.Guilt learns to speak.Faith fills the air.”
