Sneakers are definitely a big part of street wear & street culture. Where I come from, most people don’t have a lot of money and the people that do, most likely attain this money illegally. As a young male growing up in the ghetto, you see drug dealers and gangsters dressed in the best clothing, with the best sneakers, and it influences you to want the same. I’ve been obsessed with sneakers ever since I could remember and I would do whatever it took to get them. Though I never sold drugs or stole from anyone, I turned to alternative methods by hustling and saving up every penny I could. Getting the sneakers was tough, but keeping them was the hardest part.
