'Amani ya Kongo'

My thesis is my final project of my academic career at OCAD University. With the use of a historical background and site analysis I have designed a music and dance academy as well as a concert hall set in the densely populated city of Kinshasa. This project encapsulates the core of my design demonstrations and my attention to structure and detail.

“I have been investigating the ways in whichthe social and economic state of Congocan be improved for and by younger generations through the built environment. I have processed my ideas through the development of a music and dance academy as well as a concert hall set in the densley populated city of Kinshasa. I feel that this will provide a space ofescapeism for the community, a space of tourist attraction for the economy of the nation, as well as a diverse opportunity for those in the community to make something of themselves. ”
