The themes I have been working through are identity, body politics, perception, and the art historical/ contemporary representation of women. The visible identity markers people observe gives a limited scope of a person’s identity. These visual assumptions are tied to us throughout our lives and influence the way we are treated and are expected to act. I want to provoke how the viewer interrelates with identity and their assumptions.
