The Garden

Painting
2020
Recycled fabrics and acrylic paint
7" x 7"
This painting reflects the garden that I tended to this summer. I built a planter with my dad to hold the vegetables that were going to feed our family. I planted peppers and onions as the basis for the dishes that we prepared. Tending to a garden taught me that I did not grow anything. The vegetables grew as a cycle of their life and I assisted to strive by watering them, cleaning the soil, and thanking them for their gifts.
