A short animated film about a young mad scientist trying to steal back a confiscated invention from her high school teacher.
“Lunch Break is a narrative, single-channel 2D frame by frame animation about a young mad scientist’s quest to steal back her confiscated invention. In this project I aim to make a film about imagination and determination. The plot focuses on Vivian Han, a tweenaged mad scientist, plotting to get around her overzealous teacher. As she comes up with new inventions, her teacher pulls out new defenses, leading Vivian to take drastic measures. The title refers to what it turns out Vivian’s invention was for all along-her lunch. The goal for this film is to make something humorous and full of heart that gets the viewer to root for the underdog.”
