Alchemy：Transmutation

The theme of this series of works is "Transmutation" the concept of alchemy. Alchemy can be seen as a mysterious philosophy or a physical science experiment. In the literature and art left behind by ancient scholars, people use the four colours of black, white, yellow, and red to distinguish the different stages in the process of alchemy causing changes in substances. The material changes described here can refer to the most well-known process of transforming lead into gold or can be described as a life fable seeking oneself and a process of awakening the soul. This series of works attempts to use the common bird symbol elements in ancient alchemy manuscripts as the starting point for design. To illustrate the concept of alchemy in the form of jewellery by combining colours and the most representative 5 kinds of bird images, and reflect the process of "transmutation".
