This project is inspired by Professor Utonium’s house in the cartoon series, “The Powerpuff Girls”. The project is designed to be a playful interpretation of the house while showcasing iconic portions of the show to tie in a series of cartoonish and nostalgic elements. This piece is meant to commemorate The Powerpuff Girls and the role it played in my childhood. Constructing a house that feels like the home of a place I never visited. A house that simply lives in the mind of a child, that laters serves as a house of nostalgia for an adult. This piece is comprised of brass, glass, and acrylic. It is intended to be a wearable piece, most likely as a pendant, belt loop charm or bag charm. This is a bright and colourful piece meant to be interacted with. The text element on the back plate serves as a commemorative aspect to the TV series. The windows are adorned with stained glass and surrounded by the warmth of brass with a deep red heart backing to unify the aesthetic value of nostalgia through the vehicle of familiarity.
