““Those who supported or opposed Mr. Roosevelt during his long and controversial years as President did not deviate in this. And all hailed him as the greatest leader of his time.”(F) New York Times 1945Franklin Delano Roosevelt is still seen as one of the best presidents the United States has ever seen, raising the country out of the great depression with his “new deal”, and being a strong world leader during world war II; he was the only president who ran for more than two terms, leading the country for 16 years (B). However during this time his bodily functions were always hidden from the public, he was a sickly man, suffering almost every day of his presidency. He was constrained to a wheel chair and had to make countless health checkups for his heart, lungs, blood pressure, and blood samples. The mechanics of his body were hidden from the public, his death to others came as a shock, not for the people around him (P).”
