"The idea came from what I noticed during the period, every time my female friends or I had to use the tampon outside the home, everybody would just not say anything and hide the tampon and bring it to the washroom. Especially when there are men or boys, the action will take more quietly. To reduce the shamaness of this situation and uneasy about bringing tampons, I think it can design a small package that with a hanging strap, and the package will look very cute and fashionable so that every time you can just carry this cute pack with you to the washroom so that it can be easy to take out rather than hide or grab one on your hand. "After we discussed this topic more, we found that not only “women” will have the menstrual period, but other genders, like Non-binary people, Agender and Trans individuals, also need to deal with this situation. Thus, we decided to expand our target group to all genders and do research to learn what people of all genders need in this kind of product.We considered our target groups and their needs as much as possible. We decided to separate the package into two parts to sell together, and it is to help some customers who have to bring the product in many situations, so we made it like a book without other menstrual-related information so that people even do not have to put it in a bag, they can hold it avoid the embrace. Customers will be able to use the portal pack to refill the tampons, and we hope our design can promote gender equality and eliminate the shame of the menstrual period.

Our approach was comprehensive, considering the unique needs of this customer group and incorporating eco-friendliness, portability, and minimalist design into the packaging. We used a timeless grey color as the main theme to differentiate from high-contrast and highly saturated packaging designs, offering a distinct solution for all customers.”
